Batter up! Hear that call! It’s been 30 years since the hit film ‘A League Of Their Own’ hit theaters in 1992, and all these years later, the massive hit film is now being turned into a TV series!
While the new series features TV stars like Nick Offerman and Abbie Jacobson, the original film was a star studded masterpiece, with actors like Geena Davis, Tom Hanks, Madonna, and Rosie O’Donnell bringing all the thrills of the first professional all-female baseball league to the big screen.
Directed by the late, great Penny Marshall, the film also starred talents like Ann Cusack, Patti Pelton, and Lori Petty, who became synonymous for their roles in the film. It even featured a cameo by Penny’s brother Garry, as the publicity-hungry candy maker Walter Harvey who funds the league.
