Nina Dobrev stole the display at the 2019 Satisfied Gala!
The Fam actress turned heads as she walked the star-studded pink carpet alongside Zac Posen at the fashion occasion, held in New York City on the first Monday in Could. For this year’s Met Gala, Dobrev wore a custom Zac Posen x GE Additive x Protolabs bustier. The bustier is a crystal clear printed costume with a 4-piece assembly for personalized fit. The interior was built to match the star’s 3D recreation.
The printing and complete of Dobrev’s bustier took about 200 several hours and was printed at Protolabs’ 3D printing facility in Germany.
Prior to hitting the pink carpet with Posen, E! News caught up with Dobrev as she well prepared for her Fulfilled Gala moment with makeup artist Charlotte Tilbury, who identified as the event “magical.”

Speaking about how the collaboration came about, Dobrev explained to E! News that Posen named and invited her to go to the function, saying he had a “incredibly unique eyesight” for the glance.
“He experienced partnered with this organization that…he made it, so it can be intended by a man but created by know-how, by a robotic primarily,” Dobrev spelled out. “It was printed, over 60 or so several hours it took to print the mould and then the dress by itself is a full different…it took about 6 to 8 months from the unique fitting right until now.”
“And it usually takes a workforce of six individuals to place it on,” Dobrev extra. “We have experienced a lot of fittings.”
Dobrev was later joined by Posen, who dished on the Met Gala glance.
“I imagine it can be great,” Posen said of the design, making use of the 3D printing. “Nina was the excellent human being to don this gown.”
