Roommates, it looks like big man Lamar Odom, has been “deactivated” from the Big3 league.
This past Wednesday, the Big3 basketball league released a statement letting fans know that Odom, along with former NBA players Jermaine O’ Neal, Baron Davis and Bonzi Wells, have been “deactivated” for the 2019 season.
In their statement, the Big3 league had this to say: “As the premier professional 3-on-3 league in the world, we are always striving to improve the quality of both the live and broadcast experience for our fans as well as the level of competition.”
Although we’re not certain as to what caused the deactivation, according to @TMZ_Tv, the 39-year-old former NBA Champion, was worried about his ability to play. The site states that he “was nervous about being embarrassed on the court.”
Last month, Odom joined the Big3 league, which was founded by Ice Cube, along with entertainment exec Jeff Kwatinetz. He was apart of the “Enemies” team.
When speaking to sideline correspondent Michael Rapaport, Odom said: “I like the pace of the game. Once I get my rhythm back it should be no problem.”
This was Odom’s first time on the court in 4 years since his nearly fatal overdose at a Brothel in Nevada. He was hospitalized at the end of 2015 and checked into rehab shortly after. Odom revealed that he he suffered from 12 strokes and six heart attacks while in a coma.
